Aidan Bharath has a Ph.D. in Maritime Engineering from the Australian Maritime College with a research focus primarily on wave and tidal resource assessment and turbulent computational fluid dynamics wave energy converter array modeling. Some of Aidan’s previous projects include: developing novel methods for predicting non-tidal components of tidal flows, investigating numerically, the impact of waves on the operation of tidal devices and energy loss due to turbulence in wave energy converter arrays. At NREL, he focuses on resource assessment, industry innovation, and investigating marine renewable energies benefits to the electrical grid.
