Personal Profile

Aileen Blair is a project manager and is the subprogram integrator for NREL's Residential Buildings Subprogram, supporting more than 50 individual projects. Working hand-in-hand with project principal investigators, other buildings program operations staff, NREL financial analysts, and line managers, Blair coordinates and manages staff and project assignments for more than 150 research staff and acts as a central point of contact for program staffing for residential buildings and business support resources within NREL. She supports the integration of cross-project elements including, but not limited to, finance, procurement, funds-in, project management, and project teams. She researches, assembles, and evaluates project information and data to recommend sound, practical solutions to individual projects and the larger NREL Buildings Program.

Professional Experience

Blair has previous experience in solar energy, project management, culture change initiatives, and nonprofit management. Prior to joining NREL, Blair worked with Tesla as an energy consultant cultivating and managing revolving rooftop photovoltaic projects. Blair also has operated in the realm of culture change working as the membership and operations manager for the Women in Engineering ProActive Network. In addition, Blair served in AmeriCorps VISTA with The Denver Foundation.
