Personal Profile

Andrew Speake joined NREL in 2018. His research focuses on energy modeling and the analysis of residential building stocks. Prior to NREL, Andrew received his M.S. in mechanical engineering from Colorado School of Mines, where his research involved the development of reduced-order residential building energy models and their integration into advanced thermostat controls of homes with variable electric rates. Previously, Andrew worked as an environmental engineer in Atlanta, Georgia, where he focused on soil and groundwater site characterization, site analysis, and remedial design and implementation.
