Bin Yang's research is dedicated to the characterization and application of ion exchange membranes, specifically in the areas of electrolysis, electrodialysis, and membrane capacitive deionization at NREL. He has more than eight years of expertise in electrochemical energy storage technologies, including lithium-sulfur batteries, nonaqueous and aqueous redox flow batteries, as well as salinity energy harvesting.
