Cabell Hodge is the group manager for the Analysis of Vehicle and Infrastructure Deployment group in NREL's Center for Integrated Mobility Sciences. He joined NREL in 2016 as federal fleet project leader and supported the deployment of electric vehicles in the fleet from fewer than 1% of acquisitions to more than 15% in 2023. Hodge and his group develop analytical frameworks to support fleet and facility managers—as well as other decision makers—on optimal vehicle technologies, charging station requirements and costs, energy and environmental justice improvements, and policies that can drive the transformation to a cleaner, more equitable transportation system. Prior to joining NREL, Hodge worked at the Colorado Energy Office developing programs and policies to enable the adoption of clean transportation.
