Professional Experience

Prior to joining NREL, Jewett worked as an energy engineer conducting measurement and verification for utility-sponsored energy efficiency rebate programs in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. In this role, he analyzed energy and performance data for a wide range of energy efficiency technologies including residential weatherization, commercial HVAC and lighting, industrial equipment and process improvements, and combined heat and power systems. Additionally, he assisted with pilot program monitoring, and the development of state technical reference manuals used for energy savings calculations. This work ensured cost-effective implementation of ratepayer-funded rebate programs in numerous utility service territories across the country.
