Personal Profile

Charles Kurnik has been a full-time researcher at NREL for over 15 years and has been in the Strategic Energy Security group within NREL’s Energy Security and Resilience Center since 2024. His areas of interest and expertise include resilient energy systems and residential energy efficiency. His research focuses on campus-level microgrids and microgrid knowledge transfer to federal agencies and the private sector.
