Overview

Personal Profile

Daniel joined NREL in 2020 to research wind turbine control systems. He has experience in the design, analysis, and testing of large, flexible rotors and developed an automated controller tuning procedure for new rotor designs. Daniel also works to design controllers that reflect the overall wind turbine design goal of reducing the cost of energy by increasing power output.

At NREL, Daniel works on coupling aeroelastic simulations, control design, and cost models to analyze and optimize floating offshore systems.
