Personal Profile

Elaina Present joined NREL in 2019 and is a member of the Residential Buildings Research Group. Her work focuses on better understanding today's domestic energy consumption patterns, how they may change in the future, and the impacts they will have on the evolving electric grid.

Prior to joining NREL, Elaina was part of the Center for the Built Environment at the University of California, Berkeley. She previously worked at Navigant Consulting, conducting technical analyses for the Department of Energy's appliance standards program.
