Personal Profile
Eva Birnbaum is responsible for ensuring that facilities, equipment, and documentation are research ready. She is an integration point for maintenance; engineering; projects; environment, safety, health, and quality; and other resources required to best support the research mission and maintain the Science and Technology Facility, Solar Energy Research Facility, Outdoor Test Facility, and Vehicle Testing and Integration Facility. She ensures safe conduct of research through implementation of the safety envelope, makes engineering and maintenance resources available, coordinates with subject matter experts, and manages personnel that provide research and business data software tools. Also, she participates in strategic planning for the directorate.
Professional Experience
Eva brings over 25 years of technical, project, and program management from Los Alamos National Laboratory. She has 20 patents and over 65 publications across a variety of scientific disciplines.
