Heidi McKenna

Heidi McKenna is a project controller with the Distributed Systems and Storage group in the Accelerated Deployment and Decision Support center. She supports a diverse portfolio of projects, including NREL's Distributed Generation Market Demand Model (dGEN), Puerto Rico’s 100% RE initiative, System Advisor Model (SAM), the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Energy Technical Office Energy Assessment programs. Core competencies include program management, budget monitoring, project planning, subcontract management, and milestone reporting.  Prior to joining NREL, McKenna worked for the Department of Interior reporting on Bureau of Land Management’s land use and hazard mitigation accomplishments; and for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change supporting the development of greenhouse gas reporting and carbon trading mechanisms.
