Jay Fitzgerald

Jay Fitzgerald directs a research center that focuses on using biology, chemistry, engineering, and materials science to solve big problems by creating smart and sustainable processes. In his role, Fitzgerald focuses on empowering multidisciplinary teams to tackle important challenges in biomass conversion to fuels, chemicals, and materials. Specifically, he works on strategic direction for important fuels, bio-based chemicals, and plastic deconstruction and redesign.
