Jeffrey Gonder launched his NLR career in 2005 and today manages the Mobility, Behavior, and Advanced Powertrains group in NLR’s Center for Integrated Mobility Sciences. He oversees multiple research teams exploring evolving mobility systems, travel behavior, connected and automated vehicles, advanced powertrain technologies, vehicle and mode choices, alternative fueling infrastructure, and transportation-relevant “big data.” Over the years, his work has focused on various simulation and analysis activities ranging from assessing the impact of real-world driving profiles on the efficiency of different powertrains to developing green routing control algorithms and optimizing advanced vehicle designs. He also spearheaded the development of the Transportation Secure Data Center, which provides free access to vetted transportation data from travel surveys conducted across the nation.
