Personal Profile

Kae Fink is a staff researcher in NREL’s Energy Conversion and Storage Systems Center. Her current work focuses on the development of novel lithium-ion battery recycling techniques, as well component-level design and characterization of advanced battery chemistries. She has also worked closely with NREL’s industrial partners in the technical evaluation of advanced battery materials.

Prior to joining NREL, Fink’s research focused on the design of organically modified clay materials (organoclays) for targeted removal of organic and mercury contaminants from wastewater.
