Keith Emery is a principle engineer (retired in 2016) with emeritus status. He established the photovoltaic (PV) cell performance characterization laboratory and managed the design, and development of the hardware, software, and procedures to measure the current-versus-voltage characteristics as a function of temperature, spectrum, and intensity for single- or multijunction cells or modules. He provides consulting to groups involved in PV performance measurements, measurement uncertainty, measurement artifacts, spectral modeling, and solar simulation to individuals and groups internal to NREL, and the PV community at large.
