Overview

Personal Profile

Matthew Dahlhausen joined NREL in 2018 after working as a building energy modeling consultant. His work focuses on national building stock models to evaluate buildings as a distributed energy efficiency resource for the grid, and energy model calibration to better understand how energy models deviate from reality. He maintains the openstudio-standards gem used by several building energy modeling software developers. His main interest is improving the tools architects and engineers use for building design and retrofit.
