Overview

Personal Profile

Matthew Reese conducts both basic and applied research on several material systems for photovoltaic applications, including CdTe and transparent conductors.  From 2006-2009 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher, studying organic photovoltaics processing, energy level alignment, doping, and interfaces; degradation mechanisms; and moisture barriers and their measurement.

Research Interests

Specific research interests include fabrication and characterization techniques from the material to system level; understanding the roles of surfaces, interfaces, doping, and morphology in semiconductor systems; and the development of novel measurement techniques.

Education/Academic Qualification

Bachelor, Physics, California Institute of Technology

PhD, Applied Physics, Yale University
