Personal Profile

Megan Day leads analysis, projects, and technical assistance on state and local clean energy planning and policy, energy equity, and large-scale solar development. She led the development of city energy profiles for more than 23,400 U.S. cities through the Cities Leading through Energy Analysis and Planning project and currently leads the State and Local Planning for Energy platform, which provides jurisdictionally-resolved clean energy potential and projections. She also leads NREL's Sustainable Communities Catalyzer. Day is a certified urban and regional planner with a background in non-profit management, renewable energy development, and climate action planning.
