Overview

Personal Profile

Paula is a research scientist working on the overlap between atmospheric science and mechanical engineering as it applies to wind energy. Her work seeks to improve our understanding of the effects of atmospheric phenomena on wind turbines and farms. While most of her research work is based on computational modeling, Paula also leads the planning and execution of field experiments to gather the cutting-edge measurements needed to advance these modeling tools. In addition, Paula is strongly involved in International Energy Agency research initiatives related to wind turbine aeroelastics and aerodynamics.
