Polina Alexeenko studies the evolving relationship between the transportation and energy sectors using tools from optimization and statistics. Her work explores pathways toward symbiosis between electrified vehicles and the power grid through infrastructure, rate design, and smart charging. Recently, she has also been interested in the complex relationship between electrification, emissions, and energy justice.
