Rachel Romero has been a collaborative engineering leader at NLR since 2010, advancing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Rachel has a proven track record in mentoring, business development, and stakeholder engagement, always focused on delivering client-centered, high-impact outcomes. Previously, Romero was the competition manager for the Solar Decathlon Design Challenge and supported Federal Energy Management Program projects through technical and project leadership, including developing technical solutions, leading training development, and working with partners on high-performance buildings. Romero is an active member of the ASHRAE—a professional society of heating, refrigerating, and air-conditioning engineers—through participation and leadership in standing and technical committees.
