Rahul Prasad Bangalore Ashok carries out research at NREL with a focus on process simulation and modelling, techno-economic analysis, and life-cycle assessment for depolymerization of Nylon-6 and upcycling of single-use multilayer plastic films into high-value products through an integrated approach that aims to be more environmentally friendly, robust, energy efficient, cost-effective, and scalable. He also works on developing economic and sustainable pathways for recovery of biochemicals such as 3-hydroxypropionic acid and conversion into products of commercial interest.
