Ranjit Desai is a researcher in the Sustainable Transportation Integration group within NREL's Center for Integrated Mobility Sciences. He primarily works on electric vehicle-charging infrastructure analysis projects, along with a variety of interdisciplinary integrated modeling and analysis transportation-related projects involving techno-economic analysis, financial modeling, technology adoption, and system dynamics.

Prior to joining NREL as a postdoctoral researcher in 2019, Desai worked as an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps fellow at Iron Mountain. In that role, he led efforts to transition a commercial pilot fleet to alternative fuel vehicles. He has experience working on multiple energy-related projects in various capacities in Europe and India.
