Personal Profile

Ransisi Huang is a researcher in the Advanced Buildings Equipment Research Group. She joined NREL as a postdoctoral researcher in 2021. Her research focuses on investigating novel heating and cooling technologies to support the equitable transition to high-performing, decarbonized buildings. Her work includes integrating thermal energy storage (TES) into  heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) systems, and developing in-house, project-oriented simulation tools used to evaluate complex systems. Her areas of expertise include heat pumps, air-conditioning systems, HVAC&R simulation architecture, numerical analysis, and modeling.

Prior to joining NREL, Ransisi was a graduate research assistant at the Center for Environmental Energy Engineering at the University of Maryland, where she researched and developed advanced solution algorithms for heat pumping systems.
