Ravindra Kumar Bhardwaj’s research focuses on advancing sustainable battery materials through in-situ electrochemical characterization and structure–property correlation. He develops and applies in-situ FTIR methods to monitor transition-metal dissolution and interfacial degradation in lithium-based cathodes, enabling rapid assessment of material stability. He also collaborates with industry partners to optimize recycled graphite for high-performance anodes by integrating multi-scale characterization with process tuning. In parallel, he supports sodium-ion battery development using bio-derived hard carbon, with an emphasis on understanding electrochemical behavior and pathways for scalable implementation.
