Personal Profile

Regis Thedin's work focuses on the investigation of microscale flow features and their interaction with complex terrain, wind farms, and soaring birds. He uses state-of-the-art, large-eddy simulation modeling tools to contribute towards a larger mesoscale-to-microscale coupling project. Prior to NREL, his graduate research investigated atmospheric effects on ship airwakes and the consequent effect on the dynamics of a landing helicopter.
