Personal Profile

Rois Langner is a senior engineer and the Commercial Buildings Integration Subprogram Lead for the Buildings Program at NREL. She began working at NREL in 2010 and has focused her research on cost-effective methods to achieve high performance, efficient buildings, enable building load flexibility, and increase building-grid coordination. As NREL’s Commercial Buildings Integration Subprogram Lead, Langner oversees NREL’s portfolio of commercial buildings research projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Buildings Technologies Office. In this role, she provides strategic leadership to ensure alignment and successful implementation of project goals with NREL’s mission and BTO’s objectives. Langner is also the Global Program Manager for field demonstration projects funded through the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA’s) Technology Proving Ground (TPG) program. She provides technical expertise to GSA during their annual selection of new technologies for the TPG program and supports NREL’s technical teams in conducting successful validations of those technologies in real-world, operational buildings.
