Saqib Javed’s research at NREL focuses on advancing geothermal energy and heat pump technologies, with an emphasis on low-temperature and co-produced resources. Building on previous roles as a researcher and professor in Europe, he has led and coordinated more than 50 technical and research projects on building- and district-scale energy systems, thermal storage, and energy-efficient buildings. Javed has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and technical reports, and his current work combines field demonstrations, modeling, and system analysis to deliver resilient, sustainable energy solutions.
