Personal Profile

Shane McFly is a cybersecurity research scientist in NREL's Secure Cyber Energy Systems Group. He performs research in vulnerability analysis and mitigation to secure energy communication and control systems from cyberattacks. McFly works with the electric utility sector, the renewable energy generation sector, energy and security technology vendors and integrators, the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and other federal agencies with missions critical to the nation's energy security interests.
