Personal Profile

Stacey Rothgeb leads a group of talented engineers and professionals focused on residential system integration solutions and scaling, working closely with industry on analysis, market transformation, and workforce development. She also provides thought leadership and technical management to a broad portfolio of research efforts focused on industry advancement.

Stacey joined NREL in 2009 and has led key projects related to the U.S. Department of Energy's Advanced Building Construction Initiative, Solar Decathlon competition, and Building America Program.

Stacey has a diverse background in engineering design, construction project management, and energy consulting. Prior to joining NREL, she worked for private industry as an electrical system designer, supported the U.S. Air Force as a construction and energy manager, and owned and operated her own residential energy consulting firm. Stacey is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Energy Manager.
