Tanushree Charan joined NREL in 2019. As a part of the Commercial Buildings Group, her research focuses on developing a tool for urban-scale energy modeling.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining NREL, her work as a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology involved simulating the Living Building to test energy performance during extreme conditions of weather and occupancy. She has experience in building energy modeling, environmental design analysis and risk, and uncertainty quantification to aid decision-making.
