Personal Profile

Wangda Zuo holds a joint appointment in the Communities and Urban Science Group. He is a professor of architectural engineering and associate director for research of Global Building Network at the Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on developing advanced modeling technique and applying for multiple scale engineering systems, ranging from buildings to cities. His lab contributes to the development of multiple major open-source tools, including Fast Fluid Dynamics models for indoor environment modeling, Modelica Buildings library for building and community energy systems, and URBANopt for community energy systems. He is the associate editor of the Journal of Solar Energy Engineering, and treasurer and affiliate director of the International Building Performance Simulation Association. He has supervised more than 20 Ph.D. students and postdocs. He has authored and co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed papers.
