Xinyang Zhou joined NREL in 2018. His research aims to design distributed optimization and control algorithms for networked systems, particularly, distributed real-time frequency and voltage controls that achieve system-wide optimality and robustness for future power networks with large number of controllable loads and multi-energy systems. His research mainly employs techniques and tools from optimization, control theory, and game theory.
