Advanced Biofuels Developments in the USA (Presentation): National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)

Research output: NRELPresentation

Abstract

This presentation describes recent progress on advanced biofuels research, development, and demonstration in the United States. It describes efforts to develop cost-competitive biochemical and thermochemical refining technologies and recent progress achieved at NREL to reduce the cost of converting cellulosic biomass to ethanol or mixed alcohols. New initiatives to convert biomass derived sugars, synthesis gases, and pyrolysis liquids to advanced biofuels are discussed.
