Research output: NRELTechnical Report

Abstract

Interest in very low energy buildings is growing across the United States. California, for example, has adopted ZE targets for 50% of the floor area of existing state-owned buildings by 2025 and for all new or renovated state buildings beginning design after 2025. California has also set a target of making all new commercial buildings ZE by 2030.2 Several other states are considering similar measures and have established task forces to work on the issue.
