Abstract

This issue features stories on the opportunities presented by the Kyoto Protocol to produce cleaner transportation technologies; the plans to build new ethanol (E85) infrastructures, which should significantly reduce tailpipe emissions that cause ozone and carbon dioxide emissions that contribute to global warming; and the major automakers' display of their commitment to advanced automotivetechnologies at the Los Angeles and Detroit Auto Shows, including Ford's future E85 'muscle car,' the Mustang Super Stallion.
