    Abstract

    This case study (also included as a bonus insert to the August 1996 issue of the Alternative Fuels in Trucking newsletter) describes the results from the successful demonstration of six refuse haulers running on compressed natural gas in New York City. Fuel economy, cost, emissions, and maintenance and repair issues are discussed.
