Abstract
This issue highlights an ongoing program sponsored by DOE and managed by NREL, in which vehicles from the U.S. federal fleet are randomly selected for exhaust and evaporative emissions testing to provide high-quality, objective data regarding light-duty alternative fuel vehicles. Also presented are the interim results from comparison testing of heavy-duty vehicles (trucks and buses) equipped withthe latest certified alternative fuel engines versus their diesel counterparts.
