Abstract

The back contact is a key component for further developments of CdSeTe solar cells. In this contribution, we investigate several materials and designs that could help the development of highly-reflective, ohmic back contacts for conventional (3.45 mu mathrm{m}) and thin (800 nm) CdSeTe solar cells. We also explore numerically, nanostructured metal back contacts for light-trapping in ultrathin (200 nm) CdTe solar cells.
