Abstract

A battery located in an apartment is a key trend and will continue to grow with the rise of home battery system providers. Installation of pre-assembled integrated battery energy storage systems in the form of "skids" during off-site construction of apartment units can significantly reduce high first costs. The net-zero energy and grid-interactive efficient apartment of the future cannot be effectively designed without careful consideration and planning of where the battery will be safely located and how it will be safely operated.
