Abstract
Featured in this issue are stories on a voluntary collaborative effort between the glass industry and DOE; the creation of the Laboratory Coordinating Council, which links 17 DOE laboratories and facilities for easier access by industry; and the 1996 NICE3 (National Industrial Competitiveness through Energy, Environment, and Economics) award winners. A special 'Successes and Spotlights' inserthighlights some of the companies that are champions in the effort to develop collaborative R&D projects that will enhance energy efficiency, cut pollution, and solve environmental problems for industry.
