    Abstract

    Companies looking for opportunities to be competitive in increasingly tighter global markets will be attending the DOE Office of Industrial Technologies (OIT) 2nd Industrial Energy Efficiency Symposium & Exposition in Arlington, Virginia, in February. An Expo event schedule and registration materials are included in this edition. Other stories focus on collaborative agreements by the aluminum andmetal casting industries designed to improve efficiency and product quality through energy savings and process improvements, and the many opportunities for industry to participate in DOE's Energy Partnerships for a Strong Economy programs. The latter are designed to help businesses achieve economic and environmental benefits through the use of energy efficiency, pollution prevention, andrenewable energy technologies.
