Bioderived Biphenyl-Containing Compounds and Their Conversion to Polymers and Macromonomers

The present disclosure relates to a composition that includes ##STR00001## where A includes at least one of a carbon-carbon bond or a bridging group, R includes between 0 and 4 of a first hydrocarbon, and n is between 2 and 3,000. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the bridging group may include a linear hydrocarbon chain and/or a branched hydrocarbon chain. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the bridging group may include between 1 and 10 carbon atoms.
