Abstract
DOE conducts a cooperative research program with industry, utilities, and agriculture to increase the use of clean, renewable biomass resources to generate electricity. As this brochure explains, as many as 50,000 megawatts of electricity could be generated by biomass power plants in the year 2010 with advanced technologies and improved feedstock supplies.
