Abstract

As part of NREL's Solar Energy Innovation Network , this initiative was established by three nonprofits: RE-volv, Green the Church (GTC), and Interfaith Power & Light (IPL), to address three key issues facing the just clean energy transition: 1) racial and ethnic disparities of solar deployment; 2) significant barriers faced by nonprofit organizations - particularly BIPOC-led houses of worship - to go solar; 3) limited awareness and accessibilities of clean energy at the community level.
