Abstract

The properties of cadmium oxide and cadmium stannate are discussed. Focus is on a small selection of methods used to characterize the novel transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) undergoing development. The value of careful characterization in determining the fundamental properties of TCOs is emphasized.
