Abstract
Thermochemistry encompasses almost the whole of the conversion processes used in transforming biomass from its raw state to a final or intermediate product--for the purpose of this conference it has been defined as those conversion processes that are not biotechnology--and through a need to address end use applications, a certain number of thermochemical papers are in the areas of Electricity andHeat, and Transportation. Processes that are defined as thermochemical include: Drying; Hydrolysis; Combustion; Pyrolysis, Gasification.
