title = "Cities Topology - Curbs and Parking",
abstract = "Curbside activity has not traditionally been represented in transportation network modeling in high fidelity. Growing demand for curbside mean that prevailing practices are becoming increasingly untenable. Through outreach to expert practitioners, we established the state-of-practice and needs for quantitative modeling. We proposed a new modeling framework to allow curbspace managers to make optimal decisions about space allocation between legacy and emerging uses. Proposed future work will take the proposed approach and refine it to be suitable for standardized use by practitioners – to facilitate mobility and energy optimization through smart curbside management.",
