    Research output: NRELManagement

    Abstract

The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) leads the nation in the research, development, and deployment of affordable, advanced, clean energy technologies. This mission is to be achieved through a series of collaborative efforts--together with its Colorado field office, six regional offices, industry, universities, nongovernmental organizations, andother stakeholders. These efforts will focus on the following two principal areas; 1) Increasing the efficiency of devices, processes, and systems that consume energy; and 2) Increasing the use of renewable energy and natural gas technologies and practices. In direct response to current energy trends and the challenges that will present themselves in the coming decades, EERE has developed thisStrategic Plan, which is designed to foster a secure and reliable energy system that is environmentally sustainable. This document provides the details of this plan.
