Research output: NRELTechnical Report

Abstract

The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) evaluated five condensing boiler plants on behalf of General Services Administration (GSA) Rocky Mountain Region (Region 8). The technology evaluation was carried out through observation, measurement, and verification (OM&V) of the performance of five different condensing boiler installations that had been deployed invarious GSA buildings at the Denver Federal Center (DFC) in Lakewood, Colorado. The condensing boilers retrofits were completed in the summer of 2010. This report evaluates the design characteristics, operational efficiency, and life cycle cost effectiveness of the installations.
